What I liked about Dean's writing is that he is not making up these factual anecdotes. He has 900+ footnotes between the two books, many from source documents, showing the real history that is often overlooked by modern historians. His "proof is in the pudding"! "Taking My Country Back" and its companion, "Where Did My Country Go" are vital additions to any history buff's library and for those who care about America.

Every person who loves America should read this 2-volume work!!

This is an amazing book; once I started reading it, I could not put down! Dean not only shows how America started as no other nation on earth, but illustrates in an intriguing way how the current problems facing our country began. This author is shows how many Americans suffer from amnesia; they don't really know what being an American is, and their true identity has been stripped away by a socialistic education system. Dean shows through hundreds of statistics, surveys, and factual accounts of hidden history in nearly a thousand footnotes how America started like no other nation. He demonstrates in living color how the enemies of democracy have chiseled away at the foundation of the family, the moral code, and the Constitution. But this author shows us in a unique and intriguing way how we can resurrect the creation of our Founders. If you want to see America saved and restored to the level of being the greatest nation in the world, as it was in the past, then this book is a must read for you!
