Unusual ways to help remember things, very efficient

As a busy mom of small children, I continuously get interrupted and I need to remember things on the fly while doing something else (like things to absolutely buy because we are running out....but I don't get the chance to put it on the shopping list because one kid hurt himself and I have to comfort him). So I cannot rely on classical methods to remember things. I was looking for something different!
This book brought me so many good ideas. I loved the visualization and the association techniques. The method of Loci is my new shopping list, all in my head. Music works great too to better remember books that I read.

Tips and Shortcuts

Memory loss is not for just the elderly. I was panicked about it until I found this book. You can overcome a lot of it and improve your recall with practice. You learn new skills, tips, and shortcuts. I love “be the ruler of your own palace.” Very cool. I also like the part about musical memory which is not included in these kinds of books. You don’t get short changed on info here—it’s a solid offering.

I've studied advanced memory techniques before, including reading books by world renowned memory champions. This book provides a great primer on some of the techniques the masters use, and it is more up to date as far as 21st century ways of training your mind (like using Lumosity) I quite enjoyed it!
